Being obedient to the Lord

 Obedience and faith is pleasing to the Lord. It's not easy to wait on the Lord, as humans we are used to driving our lives, making decisions and running with them. Now when God steps into your life, the control falls with Him, He's the One who directs the footsteps and guide the way;  Psalm 119:105 says " Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." When God takes control, there's about to be frustration but He keeps guiding us. There are fruits that we reap when we wait on the Lord, Isaiah 40:31 says "but those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. However, God understands that we are not perfect (and we should never pressurize ourselves to be perfect), but with the guidance we have, we know that where we fall short, we can run to the Lord without guilt or shame, knowing that He is our Father who loves us and is willing to help us every step of t

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
