God wants to use the little bit you have for a miracle

Sometimes we can discount what we have, by not realizing the value in it. Challenges of life tend to cloud our judgement and make us blind to the treasure we have. Take the woman in the bible in the book of 2 Kings 4, who lost her husband and creditors came knocking for repayment of her husband's debt. This caused a lot of stress for her, that she ran to Prophet Elisha asking for help. The first question the prophet asked is what do you have? Her answer was nothing, except the little oil. Thus the prophet gave her a strategy that involved her borrowing jars from neighbors, fill them up, then sell the oil. She did as she was told and that's when a miracle happened. The "little bit of oil" kept flowing, she filled a lot of jars until she ran out of jars to fill. That's when the oil stopped flowing. She sold the oil as was instructed by the prophet, and got so much profit that she was able to pay off the debt (and keep her sons), plus some extra cash to live off.

This story teaches us a few things. There are certain things that when we look at them, they can just be ordinary stuff, that don't have value, but with the power of God, they can be extraordinary, and bring a blessing that is much needed. Secondly, we can learn from her that when this woman was faced with a challenge, she went and seek Godly counsel, someone who can be directed by God to bring a miracle. Friends can help, but at times they are limited as well, with a potential of adding more anxiety to the situation. Thirdly, we need to be obedient. Sometimes in the physical, it might not make sense, however, we need to follow God's leading regardless. We need to remember that we serve the mighty God who is Supernatural, Who is able to do all things. Mark 10:27 Jesus reminds us that with man, somethings are impossible, but with God, ALL things are possible. Therefore, let us continue trusting Him, rely on Him and remember that He is in control. Surrender the little bit you have, and allow Him to bring a miracle through you.
