Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas

We are drawing closer to Christmas and it dawned on me that we have to take a moment and remember the true meaning of Christmas, the reason why we celebrate Christmas. On this day, we remember that the king of kings was born, our Saviour, our redeemer in whom we find ourselves free. Free to have a relationship with our Father, free from sin and death, free from bondage, free from sicknesses. That we are guaranteed an external life after death. This shows that it is indeed a BIG deal. This was the greatest gift that God gave us, one we should be grateful for, for eternity. I'm reminded of one of the oldest bible verses I learnt which is John 3:16 that tells us that God LOVED the world so much, that He gave His one and only SON, so that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have eternal life. The last will be first!!

 Matthew 19:30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first . God's ways are not our ways. Sometimes in life, we may feel delayed, only to find that we are on time- in God's timing. God says those who are first, will be last and those that were last, will be first. This can apply in any area of our lives, where life may have been unfair, where we found ourselves in the wilderness , stagnant, confined. But I am learning that we may feel like we are buried (whilst others flourish); nope, in actual fact, we have been planted. Like a seed, that is planted in the ground, where it is dark, humid and no space to move. That's where growth takes place . In those moments , God is preparing us, equipping us and this is equivalent to being watered , day-in, day-out. But when the time is right, that seed that  was in the ground, not visible, now it springs forth and when it does, it shoots like crazy because it is equipped  and ready! Some may feel it happe...

Let us spread the good news!

 Mark 16:15 And then He told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Wow, how amazing when God knits things together, I was sharing this with my Kids Ministry two weeks ago, and we touched on it briefly yesterday. This was a command from the Lord, for us to go to the world and tell everyone about the Good News! One may ask, what is the good news? It's simple, the good news is that God loved us so much, that He sent His beloved Son to die for our sins, so that we may be saved! Furthermore, His Son was crucified, died a painful death for us, but the good news is that He rose after three days, He conquered the grave, He conquered darkness. Our king is alive and seated in heaven on the right-hand of our Father, interceding for us! That is the good news!
