Find something to be thankful for and rejoice

One of the greatest principle I've learnt, is that of a half-empty vs half-full glass principle. This principle is profound in a sense that to some degree, it tests our perception in life, on how we view things. Those who see it as a half-empty glass are seen as people who notice the negative thigs, in most cases, over the positives (that could exist). Whilst those who see it as a half-full glass are seen as more positive people that looks at life with a positive lens, that in as much there could be some challenges, there is some good in it somehow.

Negativity has the ability to suck out joy from our lives, where if we constantly complain about everything, discredit and criticize all the time, we find ourselves attracting the negative spirit that erases any peace and joy that we are supposed to enjoy. This boils back to where does our trust lie? If we trust ourselves for everything, we are bound to be crippled by fear, because we can never know everything, control everything nor influence everything. However, when our trust is in God, we tend to find peace that in as much as I might not know how to resolve this issue, I know someone who can, that being God. Remember the bible verse in Proverbs 3:5-6 that says we must not lean in our own understanding, but in all ways submit and trust in Him.

When you have that comfort, you are able to have a positive view in life, appreciate the little things in life like life itself, your family, your friends, the roof over your head etc. Psalm 118:24 says: "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." This is the type of attitude we should strive for, not easy to always see the bright side, but when we ask the Holy Spirit to help us, indeed He will. God performs miracles everyday, let's live in expectation.
