Get wisdom

 The book of Proverbs chapter 3 and 4 talks about wisdom as being very important, that we need. We are told that wisdom will protect us, that we must love wisdom and ensure we don't lose it. This is in agreement with what we learnt from king Solomon, who said he wants wisdom which was granted and he lived to accomplish so much, he even got respected. 

This shows us that in order to lead a life that is purposeful, pleasing to God and that gives honour to God, we need wisdom. James 1:5 says anyone who lacks wisdom, must ask God. Ask and it shall be given (Matthew 7:7). May we never get tired of asking...

 1 Peter 3:18 Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but He was raised to life in the Spirit. The recollection about Jesus, is one of the most powerful  story ever. We have peace bacause of what Christ has done for us...

 Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Peace is everything to me, when there's something not right in my spirit, I become uncomfortable, unsettled and unhappy. Which is why it is so pleasing to hear that we have been made right with God by faith, by an act of Jesus obeying and seeing it through for Him to be crucified like that, has made us righteous with God and He is pleased with us. This verse tells us that we have peace with God, what a relief this is! No longer do we have to worry about the mistakes we made and the shame they brought us, but because Jesus' blood cleansed us completely, we can have peace in our hearts and just enjoy our relationship with our Father. Don't conform to the world standards...

 Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. As the body of Christ, we are meant not to conform to the standards, norms and behaviours of this world, which could lead us straight to the path of unrighteousness. But we are meant to follow the example set by Christ, as our great Shepherd. By so doing, we are meant to lead others to Christ by our behaviours and the way we live life. Jesus as our example, has set for us the standard of living, which  is totally different from the world. For example, the world says be selfish and look out for yourself and don't share with others to preserve your resources.
