Reaping a harvest

 Psalm 126:4-6

"Restore our fortunes, O Lordas you restore streams to dry riverbeds in the Negev. Those who cry while they plant will joyfully sing while they harvest. The person who goes out weeping, carrying his bag of seed, will come home singing, carrying his bundles of grain."

God is not deaf to our plea, He sees every effort made to build His kingdom. It is God's will to restore His children, to allow them to reap a harvest. The thing is that in order to reap, we need to sow. Sowing in the kingdom can be in many things, remember we are the hands and feet of Jesus on earth. Helping a needy person, is sowing in the kingdom, as it is God's will for us to help the poor, widows and those in need. However, in whatever we do, we need to know that God sees our intention as well, doing one thing to get something in return that is not a good intention. The second most important law, as Jesus taught us is to love your neighbor as you love yourself- Matthew 22:39. This means we need to show love to one another, to have tolerance and understanding. Being kind.

What pleases God the most, is obedience to His word. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 says: "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse - the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known." God has given us a choice and in His word He urges us to chose right. There's a blessing when we obey and a curse if we don't. It is up to us to make the right choice that is pleasing to Him and leads to life.
