Ask and it shall be given
God, our Father, has compassion for us, and is willing and able to meet our needs. Matthew 7:7 says "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." His compassion is demonstrated through Jesus who came on earth to reveal to us the character of God our Father. There many encounters that demonstrate His compassion, one of them is found in the book of Matthew 14:14 which says "When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick." Also when He saw the mourning woman whose son was about to be buried in the book of Luke 7:12-15 that says "As He approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, His heart went out to her and He said, “Don’t cry.” Then He went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother."
Therefore, we can be assured that the Lord is on our side and is ready to hear us when we ask. This is confirmed in the book of Psalm 116:2 that says "Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!" God awaits our request, let us go to Him boldly and ask, He says He will not withhold any good thing for them that walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Amen.
