This is the day...

Psalm 118:24 says "this is the day of the Lord's victory; let us be happy, let us celebrate". Another version says let us rejoice in it. God's desire for our lives, is to live a stress and worry free life. He wants us to surrender all to Him, remove all the burden off our shoulders and just rejoice in what He blesses us with. 

Worry and fear are a big factor in achieving the state of our worry free life. So many things are on our minds, that leads us to stress out. But God is calling us to bring all the burdens to Him and place them at His feet (Matthew 11:28). Psalm 118:10-14 talks about the enemies surrounding us that God is defeating for us. So why worry. 

Psalm 116:12 says "what can I offer the Lord for all His goodness to me?" This is something we can occupy our minds with, on how to show our gratitude for saving us.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
