Where will my help come from?

When storms of life hits, people make different consultations for different reasons, with different individuals, which can include family members, friends, elders, church members, mentors etc. Such an approach might result in finding a solution or an exaggeration of the problem. For some people, this might be an opportunity to gossip about you, mislead you (intentionally or not) or use that information for future blackmail.
However, what does the bible say? Who do we need to consult and get help from? The book of Psalm 121 sheds some light and gives an approach that we can also follow (like David). This bible verse says:
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm— He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

This passage gives us full assurance that the Lord will provide assistance, He watches over us day and night; He provides protection against everything and will secure us at all times. There's nothing that happens that the Lord doesn't see (as He doesn't slumber), He is always on guard. All we need to do, is to call on Him and put our trust in Him; make Him our first port of call. He will never judge us, condemn us, gossip about us, laugh at us nor keep score about our issues. He is loving, kind and caring. He has our best interest at heart. Let us lean on Him always!
