God's hand upon us

 Psalm 118:16-18

The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!” I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death.

Life has turned out to be so fragile, reminding us that we are not in control of our own lives, that there is a hand upon us, guarding and guiding us through life. We can either live in fear, or we can live the life God ordained for us to live, one that surrenders all control to Christ. For we are told that we are not given the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind (1 Timothy 1:7). They say fear and faith do not co-exist. Faith is recognizing that no matter the circumstance, God is on our side. It is realizing that no matter how dark the storm is, He promised never to leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8). This gives the courage to face life with hope.

In any case, God says He will work out ALL things for our good (Romans 8:28); therefore, there must be something good even in that storm...
