He is all about Love

 Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Let us reflect on some of the bible verses where God shows us His love for us and also teaches us about love. A beautiful collection from Ps Paula White-Cain:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15

“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35

May your heart be filled with God's love, so that it may overflow to others. May you live a life full of confidence that you are truly loved by your Creator, you were never a mistake, but was created for a purpose. You are made in His image and you are His. Psalm 24:1 says: "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it..." You belong, never forget that. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you...

We can sum this up by 1 John 4:8 that says: "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love."

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. However, God understands that we are not perfect (and we should never pressurize ourselves to be perfect), but with the guidance we have, we know that where we fall short, we can run to the Lord without guilt or shame, knowing that He is our Father who loves us and is willing to help us every step of t

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
