We are joint-heir with Christ

 Obadiah 1:17 

But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

The Lord will deliver His people and they shall possess their possessions, their inheritance. Remember Father Abraham, when God made a promise to him, that He will bless him and his descendants. His descendants includes you and I (by faith). This inheritance is also confirmed through Christ, in Romans 8:17 that says: "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." The blood of Jesus secured our inheritance, now God says we are joint heir with Him. This verse indicates that there could be suffering that we endure at times, as we are not of the world and are despised because of Him. However, we not only share in the suffering that Christ endured, we will share the glory of Christ as well. Remember the verse that says that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)? That's it! Pain will last only a moment but the reward will be worth it! Stay strong.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
