Be humble...

 Psalm 18:27-28

You save those who aren’t proud. But you bring down those whose eyes are proud. Lord, you keep the lamp of my life burning brightly. You are my God. You bring light into my darkness.

God sees people's intentions, their thoughts, their motives and actions. He is able to judge every act if it is sincere or has ulterior and based on this, God is able to tell who is humble and who is proud. Pride is not a  character that we can associate God with. It is therefore our responsibility to watch it to ensure we don't fall into that trap. He encourages us to be humble, in everything. Thinking less of ourselves but recognizing the power that is at work within us, that it is the One that help us do what we do, to achieve what we are able to achieve. It is ultimately His grace that gives us an opportunity and victory even when we don't deserve it. Failure to do so, the bible tells us that God humbles the proud. We then need to repent and by the grace of God be aligned with who He says we are.

The reason why we want to stay in His will, is because He is our everything. He guides our footsteps and He lights our pathways. We may fall, but He will help rise us up again. With so much darkness in the world, we truly need His light, that will dispel the darkness so we may see and enjoy walking on a clear path. My prayer will be that we will ask the Lord to search our hearts and may He help remove anything that is not of Him, that is causing us to have pride or any character that is in contradiction with who He is and who He says we are.
