Grace and peace are yours in abundance

 1 Peter 1:2-4 

"You who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you..."

We have been chosen and made holy through the blood of Jesus, that has given us the grace and peace in abundance. This peace, as Jesus said in John 14:27, is not like the one the world gives (that we can lose anytime and can be conditional), peace that He gives allows us to still thrive and have joy even when the storms are raging. That's the peace we have been blessed with. Furthermore, through the resurrection of Christ from the dead, we have been given new hope- without hope we perish, we are lost and we have nothing to look forward to. He has also given us access to His inheritance that can never be stolen, that can never spoil or fade away- true treasure that's been kept for us in heaven.

Let us be encouraged that we are greatly loved, cared for and will be honored. Jesus has completed His task that has left us with spoils that we can benefit from- grace, peace, life, hope, inheritance and more. And this has allowed us an opportunity to have a direct relationship with our Father. May we never forget the price that was paid for us...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
