Be a diligent worker...

2 Timothy 2:15-16

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly.

Weather we recognize it or not, but God controls everything. At times we might feel like we are not where we are supposed to be, but God allows everything that happens to us, for a reason. Sometimes He allows us to be an environment that will teach and equip us, in a certain way, sometimes He allows us to be in an environment for divine connections for His glory and at times it is just to give us a lesson. Romans 8:28 reminds us that no matter what we go through, God will take those broken pieces and make something good out of it; ALL things will work together for the good of those that trust Him. This on its own, gives us a sense of peace, that we are accounted for and in some way, whatever that is, it is part of the plan, part of the process.

In a working environment that you find yourself in, do your work without shame. Do not be ashamed of where you start, remember, that is part of the process; it is equipping and preparing you for the greater plan God has for your life. Be diligent, be positive and do everything as if you are doing it for God (because you are- Colossians 3:23). Also, remember what Ecclesiastes 3:11 says: "He has made everything beautiful in its time...". Therefore, do what you have to, surrender your plans to the Lord and accept the process. It will all work out in the end.

Lastly, this verse cautions us of the company we keep and the things we say. God hears and sees everything. Thus, you would want to watch what you say. God expects us to be positive towards others, encourage one another and lift those who are down. But if you do the opposite (gossip, tear people down etc.), you are then engaging in the godless chatter. Careful. The company you keep, can either make or break you. It can lead you to Christ or send you straight to hell.
