He is risen!

 Matthew 28:5-6

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.

Three days after Jesus was crucified, two women (Mary Magdalene and another Mary) went to the tomb where Jesus was laid and the angel of God appeared to them and confirmed that Jesus has resurrected as He said He would. This was a confirmation of the prophecy and the plan of God, that He will be crucified but He will rise again. Therefore, the King is alive and we have resurrected with Him! Jesus is seated in heavenly places, on God's right-hand side! 

This resurrection with Christ means a lot to us, as it confirms that we no longer need to slaughter animals and plead for forgiveness where we have wronged, but through Christ, we are forgiven. Furthermore, by the name that is above all names, we believe and declare that the resurrection of Christ, has given us a new life, a life where the dead areas in our lives, are resurrected and they find new life again. By His power and might, we are more than conquerors in Him who has conquered the world. We are joint heir with Jesus to the inheritance that God has reserved for His Son. Romans 8:17 says "and if children, also heirs: heirs indeed of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified together". This is good news indeed. He did it for us, it is done!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
