Jesus is the gate!

 John 10:9-10

I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Jesus tells us that He is the gate. A gate is an entry point, which can either allow people/things to pass through or stop them. This means that for whatever we need, it is through Him that we will be able to access it. Jesus also told us that we cannot access the Father except through Him. Hence, He needs to be the center-point in our lives. We need to make Him the center in our families, health, finances, marriages, careers, businesses and everything else. Victory and fruits are gained through Him. We are nothing without Him!

Verse 10 further says, the enemy came to kill, destroy and steal from us. This could be stealing our health, our peace, our joy, our careers or anything that is of value to us. Which is why with God on our side, the schemes the devil forms, will not prosper (Isaiah 54:17). What is nice is that Jesus says He came to give us life, and life more abundantly. This means, Jesus wants us to flourish in every area of our lives, prosper and bring honour and glory to God. That is awesome! Therefore, let us hold on to our faith, victory is around the corner. God will never leave us nor forsake us, for as long as we allow Him to be our gate (and filter the good from the bad for us). Amen!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
