Never get tired of doing good
Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
God expects us to do good and be good. Not to just be good once, but to continuously be good and to never get tired of it. Matthew 5:13-14 states that we are the salt and light of the world. Meaning, your presence makes a difference, it brings an element that is appreciated in any situation. He lives in us and thus, His light shines through us. This means, people will feel and see the goodness of the Lord through us. When you do something good for someone, you allow God to have an encounter with that person, to show them His love through you. This means, when you disregard the inner voice that tells you to do something good for someone, you are denying the person an opportunity to experience God through you. Maybe before you say "no", think about this, you could be the vessel that God wants to use at that time, for that person.
The second part of this verse speaks about the reward that comes with being good. God never forgets, He sees every effort made to being good. It is not always easy being good, but if you choose to be good regardless, God sees that and He will reward you for that. It's more like an appreciation for allowing Him to have His way, with His people. Let His will be done in and through your life, for His glory and honour.
