Pray without ceasing.

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

God wants to have a relationship with us, more than anything. Like any other relationship, communication is important and it is two-way; where He communicates to us through different means (especially through His word from the bible), whilst we get to respond to Him through prayer. This bible verse encourages us to pray without ceasing, as it is an important aspect in our relationship with our Father. It further encourages us that in our prayer, let us give thanks because that is the will of God for us.

We use prayer as a means to ask about something, to ask for something and most importantly to give thanks. The aspect of showing gratitude is super important to God. It is a moment where we acknowledge His presence, His grace and His power in our lives. The fact that we are still alive, living and breathing is because of His grace. There might be things you are still waiting on God for, but we are always reminded to remember that we might not be where we want to be, but altleast we are not where we used to be. That shows that His grace was upon us to have moved us from point A to point B. Then it means at an appointed time, He will also be able to move us from point B to point C. It is a process.

I like the saying that we must not look back (past) too much, but to look forward where we are headed. The only exception is to look back to recognize how far you have come. Therefore, use your prayer time not just to ask for this and that, but to also show gratitude for what has been and also for what God has prepared for you already in the future. Rest assured, He is always working behind the scene, all you need is a little patience and faith that it will come to pass and manifest in the physical as well. Be blessed.
