Wait upon the Lord...
Isaiah 30:18
“The LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! ”
Isn't that awesome? The Lord longs to be gracious to you, to show you compassion and be kind to you. God is so full of love that all He wants to do, is to show us how much He cares for us and how much He loves us. Furthermore, we are told that He is a God of justice, should you be done wrong, He is the One who would fight your case and get victory for you. He clearly told us that the vengeance is His, we must not be unkind to those who do us wrong, but He will handle it.
Blessed are those who wait for Him...Sometimes things might get heated up that you want to take matters into your own hands, but God requires us to wait on Him. Whether for justice, for a promise to come to pass, for a breakthrough, for healing, for victory, everything, He's got it. We need only to wait on Him. Psalm 40:1 says: "I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry". In distress, He will act...Isaiah 40:31 says: "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." We are guaranteed renewed strength, victory, speed and health when we wait upon the Lord.
Waiting on the Lord doesn't make you a fool, but it makes you a person who is obedient. In life, we are faced with a choice of pleasing people or pleasing God. Which one is it going to be?
