Being transformed into His image...

 2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

As we soak ourselves into the word of God, are being transformed into the same image of Christ by the Holy Spirit that lives in us. God created us in His image, though as humans our mindset got conditioned into the world by the world, through laws and the approach of the society. However, as we encounter the revelations that God brings through His word, our minds are being renewed and transformed into the image of God. Romans 12:2 says that we must not conform to the world, but be transformed by renewing our minds so that we may discern the will of God.

The time you spend reading the word of God, is never wasted. That is the time you bond with the Lord, discovering His will for you. It is time well spent and truly knowing who God says you are (by not conforming to what the world has already defined you to be). As this happens, your life will move from glory to glory, as the Spirit lives in you. God will shine through you (2 Corinthians 4).

May the presence of the Lord fill you, so that you have the confidence that the Lord is with you and enabling you at all times.

Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas

We are drawing closer to Christmas and it dawned on me that we have to take a moment and remember the true meaning of Christmas, the reason why we celebrate Christmas. On this day, we remember that the king of kings was born, our Saviour, our redeemer in whom we find ourselves free. Free to have a relationship with our Father, free from sin and death, free from bondage, free from sicknesses. That we are guaranteed an external life after death. This shows that it is indeed a BIG deal. This was the greatest gift that God gave us, one we should be grateful for, for eternity. I'm reminded of one of the oldest bible verses I learnt which is John 3:16 that tells us that God LOVED the world so much, that He gave His one and only SON, so that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have eternal life.
