Hate what is evil and cling to good...

 Romans 12:9

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

God gives us an instruction that we must love and our love must be sincere; it must be free from pretense, it must be genuine. God sees our hearts and He knows our intentions, our thoughts and He's able to tell if we are sincere or not. Furthermore, He says hate what is evil. Good and evil cannot co-exist, one has to be displaced. In the book of Deuteronomy 30:15 God said I set before you life and good, death and evil. The choice is ours on which combination we take. However, He urges us to choose good over evil, life over death. We need to cling to what is good.

Life is full of many choices, the danger is if we choose the wrong option which can lead us astray, towards the road to death. Hence, we ought to examine the options set before us in life, invite God to help us make the correct choice. The book of Proverb, speaks about being wise and foolish. Furthermore, the bible tells us that if we lack wisdom, ask for it from God and He will give it to you. King Solomon is knows to be the wealthiest king lived in Israel. His secret is that He asked God for wisdom, and it took him far. So, do the right thing and choose life all the time.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
