He will lift you up, humble yourself...

1 Peter 5:6

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. 

Life in Christ is wonderful. You need not have to sell your soul for something, cheat your way up or connive in order to get what you want, no! God is our promoter, our provider! He says humble yourself and I will lift you up. Meaning, do not rush and cheat your way up, do what is expected of you, don't fight being overlooked, undermined and forgotten; He sees you and in due course, He will do right by you. 

God pays close attention to our hearts, our actions, our motives and thoughts. He knows when we are sincere, He knows when we are treated badly and unfairly, lied about and all. Hence He says vengeance is mine. He will act when the time is right. Remember Psalm 23:5, that's the one! It says: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies...” This is when the Lord exalts you, He will not do it quietly, where only you will witness it, no. He will make a big deal about, so that those that overlooked you, pushed you back, will see what God can do for you, in and through your life. They say when God shows up, He shows off! That's the one...

Therefore, do not be discouraged, do not give up, do not give in to pressure, when the time is right, the Lord will exalt you and He will get  the glory that He deserves. Glory be to God!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
