Put the word of God into practice

 Matthew 7:26-27

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

It is not about hearing the words from the bible, the word of God that will make a positive impact on our lives, but what matters is what do we do with the word that we have heard. Do we believe it? Do we doubt it? That's what will determine if we are building or the news just come in, in one ear and out the other. God wants us to internalize what He says, believe and accept it for ourselves and that will bring about alignment in our lives. If we hear the word, accept and declare it upon our lives, it shall be. That will be like building a strong foundation for ourselves, that is unshakable...When the storms of life hit, we will remember what God said first. For example, the bible tells us that by the stripes Jesus endured on the cross, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), also that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). When sickness hit, a person who received and believed the word of God, will stand firm on those words, they will be comforted knowing that the weapon might form (sickness) but it shall not prosper; the healing is already guaranteed. In that case, one will be standing on a strong foundation and unshakable on their faith. But the opposite is true, if the words came and pass, it will be like they've built their house on sand...

May we never take for granted the word of God, God is true and dependable. What He says will not return void. We need to believe the word for ourselves, receive it and proclaim it over our lives. That is part of building a strong foundation.

When you read the bible, you will hear many times God saying do not be anxious, afraid or discouraged. This is possible if you know who you are, whose you are what the promises of God are for you.
