He opens and shuts doors...Trust Him!
Revelation 3:7-8
"...These are the words of Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."
This is a reminder that God is in control. Nothing happens without His knowing and approval. We know this because even the devil has to ask permission from God before He can touch God's anointed. Remember with Job? God even gave the devil the do's and don't's...Our lives are under His control, what is worth the praise is that God is able to take even the bad things and turn them for our good (Romans 8:28).
This verse encourages us that there may be some doors that we try to open in our own strength but we probably keep failing, perhaps God knows something we don't about that door? A closed door is as much of a blessing as an open door. You don't want to open a door that will bring sorrow down the line, if it is closed, let it be, trust God to open the right one for you. And when God decides to open a door for you, no hell, no devil, no hater can close that door for you! When God says it is your time, then no one can stop it. We truly have to be grateful for God being in control of our lives, as He knows our past, He sees the present and the future; whilst we are limited to the first two. Therefore, completely rest on His timing, His plans and purpose for your life. Your desire should be getting in alignment with the will of God, the rest will fall into place.
What is amazing, is that God sees every detail about our lives, even the little things. Just a quick testimony where God spoke to me indirect. I had to cut my hair short to treat my scalp and I must say, it took some time for me to accept and get used to the new "me". I almost avoided the mirror for that reason. However, when I was giving a lesson at the Kids Ministry, where the lesson was about us being made in the image of God, I found myself doing an exercise with the kids where I made them to look at themselves in the mirror to see the beauty that God created in them in His image. After the service, I realized that God was speaking to me that regardless of having cut my hair, I need to look at myself in the mirror and still admire myself as I am His creation, regardless of how my hair looks.
So, the moral of the story is that God pays attention to every detail, surrender all to Him and He will do wonders for you. Stay blessed!
