He will reveal great and mighty things!

 Jeremiah 33:3

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

A close relationship with God is the one that will lead us to knowing great and mighty things. God wants us to call on Him, invite Him and have that close relationship and He promises to answer. It's like with our earthly parents, the closer we are to them, the more we will learn about them and the more they will reveal certain things to us. It is the same with God, the closer we get to Him, He will reveal things to us that we did not know. 

As simple as reading a bible, all of a sudden, you will get to understand it better, be able to apply the verses to your own situations, that's the Holy Spirit interpreting the bible to you and your specific situation. This is such a previledge, when we recall how in the old testament things worked. No one could come close to God except for the priests, in a particular order and performing some ritual to ask for forgiveness for the year ahead. But now, since Jesus was crucified on the cross for us, the veil was torn and we got access to God Himself. We do not need to go through somebody else to speak for us, no! Now we have direct access to Him, to put our requests with Him. We are able to speak to Him and get a response. It is amazing!

How do we build this relationship? Simple, just like we do with our families, friends, the more we spend time in His presence, the more we will be tuned to hear Him (through scriptures, teachings, and the small voice within). Invite Him and dedicate time for Him somewhere during the day. Basically giving Him priority as well.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
