His blessings from generation to generation...

 Psalm 100:5

For the Lord is good and His love endures forever;  His faithfulness continues through all generations.

How awesome is our God! He is a good, good Father. His faithfulness continues from generation to generation. We are the beneficiaries of His goodness. We have inherited favour that was promised to our forefathers, that have become an inheritance for us as well. God made a covenant with Abraham that He will bless His descendant, that through Him, favour will rest upon them. This comes from Genesis 12:2-3: "I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; all families of the earth will be blessed through you". God could have blessed Abraham for his obedience and leave it at that, and everyone for themselves. But because He is a good Father, He blessed even those that will follow after him, many families. By faith, we are his descendants and hence we are blessed.

Now that we know we are beneficiaries of God's blessings, may we see ourselves as such, as children of the Most High, children of light and start claiming our inheritance. Call forth those blessings that were placed upon us as a result of the covenant made many years ago. God is faithful, He never forgets and what He says will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Let us come in agreement with what He has ordained for us and receive it.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. However, God understands that we are not perfect (and we should never pressurize ourselves to be perfect), but with the guidance we have, we know that where we fall short, we can run to the Lord without guilt or shame, knowing that He is our Father who loves us and is willing to help us every step of t

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
