The truths about the scriptures...

 2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The word of God is useful for us. It is life. This verse teaches us that the word in the bible, is God-breathed, it is there to teach us, to rebuke or correct us, to train us in being righteous and also it is there to equip us for every good work. It is loaded indeed. 

I believe, like our earthly parents, who want what's best for us, by showing us the way, teach us and correct us where we are wrong; it is the same with God. He wants what's best for us, and thus, He wouldn't allow or leave us destroy our lives and not say anything. He will use the scriptures to get us in line. If there's something He wants to teach us on, He will use the scriptures to send the message across. Similarly, He will use the scriptures to prepare us, equip us for the assignment He has for us. When you have such perspective about the bible, you'll never look at it (bible) in the same way, as a boring, big book that is intimidating or irrelevant. But you will look to it as a guide, a teacher, a best friend that will be honest with you in bringing you back into line. 

God speaks to us through the bible, which is why we need to invest time in reading it, and hearing what He has to say to us. I pray your perspective changes about the bible and you actually look forward to hearing what God has in store for you...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
