You are worth more!

 Luke 12:7 (NIV)

Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

We are not just faces in a crowd, where we are overshadowed and forgotten. God is in the detail, He pays attention to each person. The bible tells us that He knows the number of hairs we have, imagine! Whilst the world might make us feel insignificant and worthless, the Lord sees us and cares for us. He even tells us that we are worth so much more, more than the sparrows. With the sparrows, we are told that not even one falls and dies without God knowing about it, how much then does He care about you and I?

God promised to care for us, to be there for us and to be with us; to be our defender and our protector. To be our shield and helper. God, through the Holy Spirit will even teach us what to say (Luke 12:12). This shows that He cares for us and our wellbeing. He wants to be part of our lives and be the Father that we need. Let us give Him a chance to be.

As we are about to celebrate Father's Day, may we recognize and see how blessed we are to have those commissioned to be our fathers here on earth, all sent by God; but also to recognize that without our heavenly Father, we are nothing. He is everything. Therefore, show gratitude...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
