Break camp and advance!

 Deuteronomy 1:7-8

Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates. See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore He would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”

God was informing the Israelites to break camp and advance or move forward, because they had stayed too long on that particular mountain, whilst they were approaching the promised land. It was time for them to take over the land God had promised them. I believe in our own lives, there comes a time when God pronounces that we are ready for the next level, to take over and occupy that which He has reserved for us. Timing is everything and waiting for His guidance is very important. He is never too early nor too late. Therefore, being sensitive to His instructions is imperative.

What is comforting, is that He guides our footsteps, He lights our path (Psalm 119:105); He will orchestrate everything. He is in control and He makes things happen that we are not able to. Which is why relying on Him, instead of our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), is very important. He is leading us to a bright future. Never be in contradiction with what the Spirit is leading you, if something doesn't sit well in your Spirit, then you know you are in contraction with what the Lord is saying. Take it to Him for clarity and confirmation. I believe He will lead you through.

When the Lord comes through for you, and it seems unbelievable, don't forget to give Him praise and honour. Receive what He has for you, Jesus has already paid the price, you might feel like you don't deserve it, but through Christ, you do. Give Him the glory!
