God knows everything about you!

 Psalm 139:1-3

You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.

How wonderful it is to know how God knows us intimately. He is so close and so considerate of our being. He knows when we are sleeping or awake, when we are seated or when we are out and about. He knows our thoughts. God is a caring Father and that's how we should perceive Him, not that He sees our thoughts and now we find ourselves in trouble with Him. The Holy Spirit is there to convict us, where we go wrong, God will show us, so that we change our ways. When you look at this with a positive outlook, it is good that God knows our thoughts, meaning He knows our troubles, struggles, wishes and He will provide for our needs (Philippians 4:19).

In Psalm 139:14 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, He has formed us in our mother's womb. This shows that God has always taken keen interest on us, since He formed us, He pays attention to us and He stays close to us. Let us also draw near Him, invite Him to stay and look out for you. Let us bring all our concerns to Him, for He cares. Whilst we do that, may we also give gratitude for the many things He did for us, the battles He fights for us that we don't even see, for providing for us, healing us and making a way where there seems to be no way. He deserves all the honour and praise.

Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas

We are drawing closer to Christmas and it dawned on me that we have to take a moment and remember the true meaning of Christmas, the reason why we celebrate Christmas. On this day, we remember that the king of kings was born, our Saviour, our redeemer in whom we find ourselves free. Free to have a relationship with our Father, free from sin and death, free from bondage, free from sicknesses. That we are guaranteed an external life after death. This shows that it is indeed a BIG deal. This was the greatest gift that God gave us, one we should be grateful for, for eternity. I'm reminded of one of the oldest bible verses I learnt which is John 3:16 that tells us that God LOVED the world so much, that He gave His one and only SON, so that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have eternal life.  Matthew 13:16  But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.   For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.  “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:   When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart.
