Greatness lives in you!

 1 John 4:4

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world

It is important to know who you are, or else the world will define it for you and that would cause confusion and chaos as different people would want/expect different things from you. But when God defines who you are, you can be assured that it wont change, no matter what the circumstances are. Also, you could find yourself struggling with something that you were not supposed to, had you know who you are.

For example, as children of God, we have the greatest advantage ever- the Holy Spirit. He is our helper, teacher, the One who reminds us, our comforter, strengthener (John 14:15-26) and so much more. Meaning, we do not have to do life on our own strength, figuring things out on our own, when we have a helper. This is greatness at its best! So it is important to realize this fact and apply it in your own life, recognizing Him and at every point, ask for help to ensure that you don't stumble.

There's a project I was passionate about, that I was heading at my previous employer. When I left, I thought it was going to be overlooked and cancelled. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that actually funding was secured and about 50 SMMEs are going to be supported with their businesses and about 100 SMMEs trained over a period of five years; which is wonderful! This made me realize that when God gives us instructions, we must never disobey as we might not know what God's plans are. He did say that He is blessing us to be blessings to others. You might not know who will benefit out of that, but God does; which is why it is important to trust Him. Also, I realized that when you are given a task, you might be the one assigned to start it, but not the one to see it through. Just like Moses and Joshua. They had different roles, Moses' key role was to get the Israelites out of Egypt and Joshua's role was to usher them into the promised land. Both critical roles but different. Hence, don't force to do everything, appreciate the part you are given and do it to the best of your ability. God will appoint somebody else to finish it off.

Therefore, recognize that GREATNESS, LIVES IN YOU! You are not alone, with God, you will achieve great things in this life. Be blessed.
