You don't strive for God's blessing!

 Proverbs 10:22 (NASB)

It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.

Today, I learned what this bible verse means, from someone's explanation. There are blessings that come from God, which we all want and appreciate. However, there are some things that may come from the devil, disguised as a blessing which can turnout to be a curse. Or, in order for you to get that blessing, you have to sacrifice your soul, do something that is out of character, suck-up, backstab in order to get that. When this happens, then you must know it is not from God; refrain from it. The blessing of the Lord doesn't come with sorrow, it is pure with no strings attached.

What God will do, which we might not see what He is doing in the process, but when it eventually arrives, you will understand why you had to go through the process. Remember, God owns everything, He lacks nothing, and so when you find yourself lacking, don't think that God has ran out of resources to take care of you. Instead, God prepares His children to be ready for when the blessing arrives. God will not give you a blessing that will turnout to be a curse for you. He prepares and equips you, particularly your mindset, to get it right in your head, so that when the blessing comes, it doesn't overwhelm you and end up being a burden. One thing for sure, is that God is our provider, it doesn't matter which season we are in, He will continue to provide for us. The children of Israel in the wilderness, didn't have to go to work to earn a living, God provided what they needed where they were. Same applies to you. Philippians 4:19 says "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus". From experience, I can say, you just need to keep an open mind, especially when you are still in the wilderness, that you might not have the monetary resources to cover your needs, but the Lord will make a plan for you, to have your needs met. Same as the Israelites in the wilderness, they didn't get money somewhere to go to the shop and buy what they need, but God provided mana for them. That is still provision...So, whether you are at the mountain top or the valley, rest-assured, as a child of God, He will provide for your needs. The good thing is that, once the preparation process is done, wow, God will shower you, to even show the unbelievers that He was with you all along. He is faithful.

The winter season will pass and when it does, you would've become a better, wiser person, whom God can trust with more (Luke 16:10-14). This is all part of a test, make sure you pass it!
