Never grow weary of doing good...
Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Being a follower of Jesus, is never easy. As humans, somehow, we may have an expectation that when you do something good for someone or when you treat someone good, they'll be good to you. But that is not the case in real life. In fact, when Jesus sent us to the world, He warned us that He is sending us as sheep, amongst wolf wearing sheep skin (Matthew 7:15). In this case, you can be sure that people are not going to reciprocate your kindness. However, we don't do what we do because we expect something in return. We do it because we resemble the character of our Father. Because of the grace that was shown to us, we feel compelled to show the same grace to others. That is good enough. That pleases God.
God also understands that we can grow weary as we feel and get the negative energy as opposed to what we give. Which is why He is encouraging that we must never grow weary of doing good. The devil might wear you off with different schemes, from sickness, to lost keys, flat tyre, burst geyser and so much more (I know all about it...). In this case, God says, don't focus on the storm, keep your eyes on Him. This will enable you to still do good, even in the storm, amazing. When you do so, when the time is right, you will reap a great harvest. Trust God with everything!
