Stand firm in the faith!

 1 Corinthians 16:13

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

The moment you give your life to Christ, that's the day you became an enemy with the devil. His job is to distract you, kill or destroy you, so that you may never enjoy what God has in store for you. John 10:10 says: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." The first part tells us of what the enemy wants to do, however, you need to know that you have Christ who overcame the enemy. His is to give you life, and life more abundantly. With this in mind, don't pay too much attention on the enemy, just be aware of his schemes and do put on the full armor of God. What is more important is that Jesus came to give you life more abundantly. 

Therefore, stand firm on your faith, hold on to what God said and be strong and courageous. Don't live life in fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and sound mind - 2 Timothy 1:7. Be bold and know that God is for you and with you; He will fight the battles for you. All you need to do, is to go for that which He has told you to do. Don't get distracted. Stay focus!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
