Living life like Jesus...

 1 John 2:6

Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.

We are called to live like Jesus did! Some could say it's a big ask, but we serve the Mighty God, who lives in us, directing us always. This simply means, allowing Him the right-of-way, to fulfill His plans in and through our lives, like He did with Jesus' life. In our own strength, we couldn't do it, we are not strong enough, not righteous enough, not patient enough and more. Which is why when you accept Christ as your Lord, the Holy Spirit comes and dwells within you, giving you power, directing you and convicting you where you go wrong.

Some of the things we can pray about, in exhibiting the life Jesus did, is the compassion, wisdom, patience, kindness, willingness to serve and even to lay down own's life for others. Today I learned that to leave a legacy, that means you are thinking of the people that will benefit out of your actions, where the rewards you might not even taste yourself. This made me think of Moses in the bible, who played a very critical role in the deliverance of the children of Israel, however, he never got to see the promise land himself! He died just before they entered the land. Kind of sad, but we might not fully understand God's will and actually we are not called to, but to trust Him and obey Him. May we always look at things beyond ourselves, think of those that would benefit from what you may be doing now, creating a better tomorrow for others. That is noble and praise-worthy and I'm certain a big reward will be waiting on the other side of life, for obedience.

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through. Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of Christ!

 Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. As followers of Christ, we are His representatives, which is why we are urged to remember on what we do, we do it as His representatives, giving thanks to God through Jesus. Jesus became our middleperson , to bridge the gap that was created by sin, but we thank the Lord for mending things for us. In this case, let us thank and praise Him for all He has done for us. We are because of Jesus. I was reminded today that we are righteous, not because of our own doing, but because of Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). Which is why, we must not keep ourselves in bondage of our sins, Jesus cleared the slate for us, hence, when God looks at us, He sees us as righteous as Jesus is.
