Practice what you have learned from Jesus!

 Philippians 4:9

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from Me, or seen in Me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

The God of peace will be with you! A very important aspect, something that we can do nothing without. We surely have learned a lot from Jesus, from the life He lived, the character He displayed, the things He did and what He taught us. The new testament has a recollection of the life of Jesus which has provided our model in life. We don't strive to live like other Christians do, as they could be wrong or they can disappoint us (where the devil traps them and they fall for it).  But we follow the example that Jesus has set for us. I have seen people many times, get disappointed in our faith, as they saw certain Christians doing things that are uncalled for, then they quickly turn and say look at what Christians do. However, we ought to remember that they are not our model, in fact we are all work-in-progress. God is constantly working in us, as only Jesus is perfect; for us, daily we are striving to do better. And in doing better, that doesn't mean the devil will not try to get us off-track and shame us, He is constantly trying His tricks at all times. Which is why our eyes should be fixed only on Jesus, not other Christians (blind leading the blind).

Also, we must remember that the bible has already told us that we are sheep living amongst wolves who wear the sheep skin (Matthew 7:15), who pretend to be Christians when actually they are coming from the enemy camp. Such people cannot be used as a measuring stick if Christians are good or not.

The truth is, we are supposed to take lessons from the life Jesus lived and follow Him. We ought to constantly ask the Holy Spirit to help us where we are weak, where are lost or fearful. When Jesus left, He left us with the Holy Spirit to be our guide, help and comforter because we are not perfect and have not figured it out. Our only task is to continuously learn and strive to be better versions of ourselves.
