The battle belongs to the Lord!

 2 Chronicles 20:17

 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.

These were the words from the Lord, spoken through His prophet to tell king Jehoshaphat, as they were facing a big army that wanted to finish with them off. The most important thing this king did, when he was told about the army that was about to fight them, is that he went straight to God and told Him about this. He cried out to Him and even reminded Him that He was the one who saw their ancestors through when they were delivered from Egypt, basically reminding Him of His power and faithfulness. He commanded a prayer and fast for the nation and this was when the Lord spoke to the king. God instructed them to not worry, that the battle belongs to Him, that all they needed to do, was to take up their position, be firm and not be afraid nor discouraged. God promised them that He was going to be with them.

Indeed the Lord fought for them! They killed each other, the king didn't have to lift up a finger to defeat them. I strongly believe this is still true even today, no matter the situation you face, the Lord is saying, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, this is His battle. He will bring victory for you. Put your trust in Him, He will fight for you.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
