You have the Spirit of power, love and self-control!

 2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We can either believe God or the devil...the choice is ours. We are told that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and self control. Meaning fear, comes from the enemy's camp. When you know the character of God, that how much He loves His children, fear wouldn't come to mind, even when you make a mistake. We see Him in the light of a Father that would express His disapproval and encourage to do better next time. In that case, His children are able to do things with courage and boldness, as they know their Father is on their side, supporting and guarding them. This will lead to them using the power that He has entrusted them with, knowing that they will not misuse it, especially when they remember the price that was paid to have that power and freedom. Misuse and abuse will not feature.

When you read the scriptures, you come across words such as be courageous, do not fear, stand firm, be bold and many more, that God spoke to His children as He wanted them to exhibit His characters. Not to be timid, but to go big, as nothing is impossible for their Father. The same thing applies to us today, God expects us not to be timid, fearful and doubtful, but to remember that He is with us and for us, therefore, whatever we do, we do it in victory, not for victory. That He will catch us if we fall, that He will be our hiding place when we get into trouble. He is our safe place and He wants us to live. A life lived in fear is a life of missed opportunities. Opportunities that could've changed the status quo, changed the fortunes within the bloodline, and changed the world overall. Let us not make that mistake, but to live a life that is pleasing to Him. He's got us in His hand!
