Fear of the Lord is the beginning of life!

 Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The bible is clear, fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom! Putting God in His rightful position, as our number one, at the centre of every area of our lives, that's when God will impart His wisdom on us. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6 that says lean not in your own understanding...That's why the bible says, fools, despise wisdom and instruction. God gives us instructions that we need to follow, guidance to the path that leads us to the kingdom of light, which is why fools will be uncomfortable with that, as they prefer to lean on their own knowledge and understanding...

God has given us choices in life, good or evil. Path to righteousness or to destruction. The trick is that, the route to the kingdom of light, seems rough and a hill to climb; which is why the bible refers to it as a narrow gate, many people choose not to go this route. Everybody wants to rely on their wisdom and knowledge, to be logical. Which is opposite to what God says, which at times is uncomfortable and you may seem like a fool (think of Noah telling people about building an ark!), BUT in a long run, you will be secured under His wings. You will be taken care of as God sees beyond the present. In a long run, you have inheritance waiting on you... 

May we constantly ask for God's spirit to help us discern and make the right choices. May we constantly ask for His wisdom, like king Solomon did, that will lead to life!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
