Love delights in truth, not evil...

 1 Corinthians 13:6

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

This is aligned with the character of God, Whom we refer to as Love. The bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:7-21). He is true to His character and does not associate with evil, He is clear where He stands with evil. Like the bible says, hate what is evil and cling to what is good (Romans 12:9). Evil and good cannot co-exist. 

Furthermore, we are told that love rejoices with the truth. You can substitute "love" with God- God rejoices with the truth. We cannot associate God with liars, it is not in His character, but He stands for the truth, no matter how sharp or painful it is...His word is sharper than the double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12)! Sugar-coating and half-truths is not of God, rather the sharp sword to deal with. The word is our guide, it is the lamp at our feet and we should always use it as our foundation. May we always strive for good and truth. It may not be well-received but that is acceptable to our Heavenly Father.

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
