It's important to prosper in other things as your soul prospers...

 3 John 1:2

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Our soul prospers as we feed of the word of God and connect and stay in His presence. Afterall, He told us that He is the bread of life, in John 6:35, where He says whoever goes to Him, will never be hungry nor thirst. Therefore, His presence gives our soul life, we will live for eternity. However, God wants us not to prosper in our soul only, but for our physical, mental well being to be in order as well. This verse emphasizes that we need to be in good health and prosper in everyway. 


What we need to realize is that God wants us to be healthy, strong so that we may thrive and do His will. What good will it do when we are sick and unable to live the life He ordained us? The sickness definitely comes from the enemy, who would like to oppress our bodies and minds, so that we are consumed with sickness and unable to live a prosperous life. Infact, in Isaiah 53:3-5, we see that Jesus was beaten and the stripes that He endured on the cross, were meant for our healing! His crucifixion fulfilled a number of promises, one of them is for us to have a healthy body. Therefore, next time you feel sick, never let a though of God turning His back on you or God bringing sickness on you, even cross your mind. God is about our wellbeing, but the enemy is the opposite. 

When in prayer, make sure to be grateful for the life He gave us, the sacrifice He made in order for us to be healed and set free, through Jesus. Never allow any circumstance to consume your mind and lead to ill health. He will work it out!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing .
