Our help comes from the Lord!

 Psalm 121:1-4

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

In times of trouble, do not despair. Like David, in the book of Psalm where he was encouraging himself, he was reminding himself where his help comes from. Indeed, the help comes from the Lord! At times we may feel our help comes from people or medicine or some other object but the bottom line is that our help comes from the Lord (He may use any resource, but He is the Source). God is in control, He sees and knows everything. We are told that nothing catches God by surprise, that He is aware of everything that happens. Therefore, we should rest in Him, remembering that nothing is impossible for Him (Luke 1:37).

The book of Psalm further emphasizes this, by indicating that God is not man that He will slumber or fall asleep, and leave us alone; He is watching over us every single second. He will not let you slip, He said. This really puts comfort in our hearts that we are not alone, He is with us and He is for us. All we need to do, is BELIEVE. We must never allow negative thoughts to fill our minds and cause us to doubt; let us keep our eyes on Him for our breakthrough. He is not man that He should lie, every word that came out of His mouth shall be (Isaiah 55:11). If He said by the stripes Jesus endured on the cross we are healed, then it settles it; we are healed! If He said we are more than conquerors, then it is settled, we are conquerors. Speak life over your situation, confess His word and receive the miracle!
