Be transformed by the Lord!

 Romans 12:2

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

We all want to please God, by knowing His will about us and being obedient in that. The bible tells us it is possible, by not allowing the world to tell us who we are and forcing us to it's customs and rules, but by allowing God to transform us into beings that He created us to be. This is possible if we bring ourselves closer to Him, learn from Him and be directed by Him. This we can achieve by soaking ourselves in His word, which teaches us everything God wants us to know and be. The most important aspect of this though, is to hear the word and do what the word says (as urged in the book of James). We must be doers of the word, that shows obedience to the Most High.

It is however not easy though, when you live in the world that you have been accustomed to, most of your life, as the world has already imposed rules and regulations on you, gave you traditions and customs that are passed down from one generation to another. Which is why this transformation is possible by the help from the Holy Spirit, who understands and is able to do ALL things. God wants to transform us into His image, to have His fragrance wherever we go, so that it will be evident that we are His children. He basically want to shine His spotlight and make you stick out from the rest, in order to use you for His will and purposes and to bring light in the darkness. We must never be afraid of such change, which is beneficial now and most definitely after death. We ought to embrace it and see it as a gift, that God loves and cares for us so much that He's willing to put in some work in transforming us.
