We live with great expectation!

 1 Peter 1:3

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation.

By His great mercy we are born again, we are the new creation, forgiven, redeemed and set free. By His mercy our transgressions were forgiven by the blood of Jesus, we are now His righteousness through Christ. This gives us this great expectation of wonderful tings to happen (Jeremiah 29:11), because it is our inheritance. We are told that as children of God, we are joint-heir with Christ, meaning, the inheritance that Jesus has, it also belongs to us. This is found in the book of Romans 8:17 that says: "Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." This brings comfort that if we are sharing the suffering with Christ now, behold we will soon share in His glory as well! That is amazing! This is also confirmed in 1 Peter 5:10 that says you may suffer a little bit but you will also share in His glory.

Therefore, we are not out of touch with reality, or living in cloud or something when we rejoice even during the storm. We already know that the storm ushers in the glory of God, which He will share with us. Victory is on the way and the reward is awesome. I pray God gives you His grace to hold on to your faith in Him, realizing that this is temporary, that it shall pass. The bible says weeping may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Keep your eyes focused on Him, morning is coming!
