Pay attention to what you pursue...love and righteousness leads to life!

 Proverbs 21:21

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honour.

The Lord pays attention to our every move, He takes keen interest in what we pursue. This has a bearing on what will in turn materialize in our lives. This verse teaches us that a person who pursues righteousness, holiness and love, will find life, prosperity and honour. These don't just happen overnight, but through our consistent behaviour and habits that would be a seed we sow, which yields results to things that are intangible like life, prosperity and honour. Galatians 6:7-8 says: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." This reminds us that our actions always have consequences, the end result could be life or destruction. 

Deuteronomy 30:19 refers: God said to Moses, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” This shows that God gave us a choice, He didn't impose anything on us, but He gave us options with their respective consequences. It is up to us to realize that the choices we make, can lead to death, not only for ourselves but our descendants/offspring as well. Whilst good choices, can be a blessing in our bloodline for generations to come. Choose wisely...

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
