Be as Bold as a Lion!

 Proverbs 28:1

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Throughout the bible, we hear God telling us not to be afraid, but to be courageous. This verse, emphasizes that as children of God, we can and must be bold as a lion! There are many reasons for this, some of them includes the fact that we are made in His image and we are His children. When you learn of the character of God, indeed, you can say He is bold! Hence, we are expected to exhibit His characters. Another reason we can be bold, is that we have the Holy Spirit living in us, who is our Guide, Helper, Comforter, and so much more (1 John 4:4). Greatness living in us...So why not be bold, as God is with you? 

The book of 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" This is boldness, we are told we don't have the spirit of fear in us, but the spirit of power, love and a sound mind! Therefore, be aligned with the word of God, don't think small, don't let fear paralyze you. Instead, let the word of God bring out the lion or lioness in you, that will propel you to victory through your boldness, your Father has got your back! As we begin a new year, revise your goals and ambitions, and think big and go big! We serve a Mighty God, who is unlimited, and so should you be!

By knowing Christ, we get a chance of living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

 2 Peter 1:3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a Godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. By coming to know Christ, learning about Him in the word, we now have the ability to live a Godly life. This means by God's divine power, He has equipped us with the relevant information and teachings, on how we are to live our lives. The bible tells us that Jesus was sent to be our role model, our example of the things the Lord expects to see in us and to see in our daily walk here on earth. These things allow us to live a life that is acceptable in His eyes. However, God understands that we are not perfect (and we should never pressurize ourselves to be perfect), but with the guidance we have, we know that where we fall short, we can run to the Lord without guilt or shame, knowing that He is our Father who loves us and is willing to help us every step of t

Let us tell of the wonderful things He has done!

 Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. And that is called a testimony, telling of the wonderful  things that the Lord has done! With God on our side, we have  an advantage, where we are protected from certain things, where God ochestrates things for us so that they work in our favour (Romans 8:28). He heals us, He provides for us, He opens and closes doors and so much more. Which is why the only two things that we can do to show gratitude for all that He does for us, is first to recognize His role in the whole thing . That in our own strength, we wouldn't have been able to achieve those thigs, gotten favoured or have that opportunity come through.
