God is doing a new thing!

 Isaiah 43:18-19

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

God is urging us to not dwell on the past, the former things but to look to what He is doing now. The past serves as a learning lesson, and tools that could potentially be used by God in the future, but not to keep our focus thereon. God says He is doing a new thing in our lives, something to look forward to. This new thing is different for everyone, but God says it's already starting to take shape. He is making a way where there seems to be no way! For us, we just need to believe!

What's important is to not to fight the process, where we don't understand what's happening, remembering that God is in control; that brings comfort and stability as we put our faith in Him. This means when you see a door suddenly shuts on your face, you must not find yourself despondent that it is over; remember, sometimes God takes away something good to give you something great. But before He can give you that thing that is great, He needs to take away what you currently have. During the waiting period, of getting the "great thing", feelings of discouragement and fear could creep in. This is when you need to remind yourself that God is in control, and that no matter what, everything is working for your good (Romans 8:28). When you do that, your faith will build-up and you'll live with great expectation that something great is on its way to you. That's when you start praising Him whilst it is coming. That's faith! And it pleases the Lord, He gets to see that you are ready for a bigger blessing.

May the Lord give you the Spirit to discern, when God takes away the "good thing" in exchange for a "great thing". He loves you and He wants what's best for you, best believe that...
