There is power in encouraging others...

 Hebrews 10:24-25

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.

This verse has three important components that we need to pay attention to. That we must think of ways to motivate one another. We all know there's too much negativity out there, bad news is everywhere and this can be discouraging. Thus, we need to be vessels of hope and light to people around us. We need to lift each other up, so we may stay motivated and be able to forge our way through. The second part is that we must not neglect coming together as the body of Christ, thus as a church. This is where we get reminded that there is still hope and that God is still in control. We get a chance of getting and giving an opportunity to carry each other's burdens of life, as the children of God as we go through lots of trials. But also, it is our place where we get to praise and worship God as a collective (the body of Christ). Afterall, the bible shows us how much Jesus loves the church. Lastly, it is the part that links to the 1st one about encouraging one another as a result that Jesus' return is near. This reminder is something that we normally don't think about, but it is critical as we need to stay ready at all times. The return of Jesus could come in two ways (in my view), either as the angels of God come and fetch a person (in the form of death) or when it is the final call for everyone, as the bible describes. Either way, we need to be ready as we don't know the hour, day, month etc.

This is food for thought, for consideration and action. Look for ways to lift other people's spirit, making an effort to meet with the "other parts of the body of Christ" and worship as a collective and to encourage one others in order to stay ready for the return of Christ.
