Trust in the Lord!

 Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

The new year is upon us and some have already made some resolutions for their lives. The year 2022 may have been successful, or not, fruitful or not but I'm certain there are learning lessons that we can take into the new year, for improvements. One of them is expressed in this bible verse that we must not lean on or rely on our own understanding, but to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts. The year 2022 has shown me that I was able to gain some victories as a result of the help from the Lord. Also, I have experienced difficulties that were part of God's plans. What I know for sure, is that in all this, God's love for me didn't change and His plans for my life remains intact. Hence, His plans and ways of doing things, is not off-course but to us it may seem incorrect but to Him it may be within the bigger plan.

Therefore, the moment we surrender to His will and His understanding, His ways, it is when we feel the peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6). This, not because we don't see what is happening, but by submitting our plans to God (Proverbs 16) and being ok with the outcome. He promises to show us which path to take.

So, if you have issues with "being in-control", may this be one of your prayers that God give you His grace to allow Him to be in control, to surrender to His will and understanding. For the Holy Spirit to teach you to surrender to Him.
